Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

at night I ponder what it would feel like

to be able lay in bed at night

with a girlfriend or wife

to experience the wonders of life

with someone by my side.

I wish to be with her each day,

but she resides miles away.

I often think of running away

to be with her night and day

so that my sorrows go away.

I always look to tomorrow to

run till I no longer feel hollow,

to run away from my problems

When I want to go she will follow.

Pictures, videos, calls every day,

it helps but the loneliness doesn’t go away.

Nothing is better than seeing the one you love everyday.

Our seldom visits have always made me wonder

if the elders were right or was it just fodder if

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
